Sustainable Transportation and Mobility


 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE

The aim of this course is to understand the theory and practice of transportation planning process. In the first part the principles of sustainability are introduced and the challenges of modern mobility/transportation management/planning (traffic safety and security, travel and traffic behaviour, environmental impacts, economic impacts, capacities) are discussed. In the second part methods and techniques of data acquisition (counting, tracking, interviewing) and evaluation, development of objectives and goals (brain storming, future search), development and assessment of measures (Delphi, SWOT), building of scenarios and evaluation (CBA, MCA) are studied.
